It may help that she is selling a prestige product. The RSC is world-renowned and its theatres and touring productions attract tourists and schools parties as well as lovers of Shakespeare. Since my company produces comic book versions of his plays, the RSC programmes are an ideal advertising vehicle.

The programmes themselves are of course beautifully produced and I’m sure will be read and valued by many theatregoers long after the performance has ended.
