John Good designer wins Gnomon Workshop competition

Both Coventry and Tackley sites had a great day on Friday 18th March 2011 raising money for Comic Relief.

Coventry had a lot of fun and raised £210. They wore red (anything red, silly or subtle) and consumed red; having a buffet with one stipulation, all the food had to be red! People gave generously as they contributed food and donated money to tuck into the buffet.

Coventry also had a 'Make a Monster' competition, donating to the charity to enter, they made their creations by using cut out monster body parts and wax crayons. 'Pick a Pose' was also played, a scratch and win poster competition received in the Red Nose Day fundraising pack.

Practical jokes were also played throughout the day to keep everyone on their toes and keep them laughing, including an electric shock pen (very funny reactions) and fishy tasting red joke sweets hidden within the buffet for the unsuspecting sweet tooth.

Prizes (a bag of red goodies) went to Rebecca Allen, who won best dressed by amazing everyone and looking fantastic as the Vicar of Dibley (or Vicar of Binley). The 'Make a Monster' prize went to Cath Yeoman for Lucinda Lashes and 'Pick a Pose' was won by Carole Carlisle.

Tackley raised £61.40 with a wear a silly wig or hat to work day. Belinda Ferguson won the prize (bubbly and chocs) for the silliest.

They also had a bring and buy sale with the proceeds going to the charity.

They too played the scratch and win poster competition which Belinda also won. She donated her prize money to a local charity, Base 33 (A charity which helps socially excluded young people).

Therefore adding the two sites totals together employees raised £271.40 for Comic Relief.
This was then doubled by an extremely kind gesture from John Good, bringing the company total to £542.80.

The generosity and enthusiasm of everyone on the day was very heart-warming and a lot of fun.

So a big thank you to everyone
