Business Development Executive (2)

John Good is expanding! We seek to appoint new full time members to a vital team responsible for securing new accounts. While previous sales experience is desirable, the traits that will most contribute to candidates’ success in the role, are an optimistic outlook, persuasive nature, tenacity, and eagerness to learn about our vast suite of products and services, ranging from print and mailing, to graphic design and editorial.

Digital Printer (HP Indigo)

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB

  • To produce printed sheets according to instructions to the highest standard possible within the specification of and delivery schedule of the job
  • Experience necessary up to level 1 (HP Certified)

GENERAL

You will be expected to seek ways of updating and improving skills, knowledge and understanding relevant to your role with internal / external training. You will also be expected to maintain good public relations with all external clients and good working relationships with fellow colleagues, actively working for the furtherance of those relationships and the Company.

Whilst every endeavour has been made to include all duties and responsibilities of this post, this list is not exhaustive and all employees are expected to be reasonably flexible and to assist wherever possible and practical in the printing and production process as applicable.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To produce work of a consistent high quality, to quantity and specification as per job sheet instructions
  • To maximise production time on machines
  • To take responsibility for any relevant decision-making necessary to prevent or minimise reprints or rework
  • To be vigilant in checking sheets against proofs and during run and act accordingly in errors are identified.
  • To run Duplo stitching line and multi creaser
  • To ensure work is passed to bindery department on time
  • Maintain high standards of house keeping
  • To be flexible in providing cover for illness or holidays
  • To oversee, encourage and develop assistants/apprentices working alongside
  • To maintain a tidy, safe working environment
  • To ensure maintenance of machinery is in accordance with company policy
  • Input time onto shop floor data capture accurately
  • To minimise waste at all times
  • To contribute to the Health and Safety of the working environment
